Our life is in our hands. Well, not really.

Have you ever considered not having any influence on your action? It's difficult, I must admit, but instead of focusing on the future, try to look at the actions made in the past. Now, can you see? Everything you have done has its cause and effect. The human is determinated by forces beyond its control, it might be fate, politics, biology or class. According to philosopher J.C.C. Smart:
 "On one hand, if determinism is true, all our actions are predicted and we are assumed not to be free; on the other hand, if determinism is false, our actions are presumed to be random and as such we do not seem free because we had no part in controlling what happened". 

Schopenhauer once said:
"A man can do as he wills, but not will as he wills."
The sentence says that we cannot control our own desires because our desires themselves will determine which desires we want, and so protect themselves.
It's not about defeatism either. Even though the outcome of our actions might be predetermined, this doesn't mean that not taking action will lead to the same result.
It's just a small introduction that you should mess in your head. In fact, as it is basically with almost all philosophical problems, we don't know the answer and we probably will never do.

I personally believe we have an impression of free will because sometimes human just need the feeling of total freedom, isn't it?

NEVERMIND, it's OVER

Now, you know why this blog name's „nevermind”. What's interesting and important for one person for the other is completely useless. What I consider as superfluous might be crucial for someone. What I think is valid I've been sharing with you here for the last few months.  The most important thing, though, is to think critically. Effective Altruism? You got ice in your veins!

What is the help? Today, in a world full of misinformation, we have to struggle with choosing the right one. That's why we should keep up with the organizations that we trust. We know that they can use the money better than we, they are focused on efficiency, not on emotions. Instead of working intuitively they carry out research and do good.  This's what's called effective altruism. What about helping not one person but ten thousand for the same amount of money? Of course, in the utopian world everybody should be healthy, young and happy, but... this is not How the World Works. Should we be guided by emotions? That might sound inhuman but generally, no.
