Vaccinate or not to vaccinate, that's the question. Is ostracism necessary?

People tend to forget the history easily, they live in the here-and-now getting lost among infoglut.
For some people vaccines have become the number one enemy lately. More and more parents
decide not to vaccinate their children. Unvaccinated children shouldn't be allow to attend school
because they pose a threat to themselves, public safety and what is more the anti-vaccination
movement contribute to the dissemination of false and harmful information.
We should keep in mind that no one is more prone to illnesses than an unvaccinated child, the victim of its own parents. In a school environment for exemple every virus spread instantly. It shouldn't be like that the unprotected members of the community relies on the rest for protection. It seems that only a change of regulations might keep the public space safe.
Secondly, it's crucial to take into account that there are children who simply cannot be vaccinated due to weak immune system. There are huge number of diseases like this (a full list of diseases when you cannot get vaccinated). When the decision whether to vaccinate or not is not up to those who suffer from one of these diseases, it's our duty to protect those who cannot defend yourself.
What's more, parents probably don't realize how quick fake news open up. People for whom their children are the most important are able to do everything to protect them from the danger, which is, according to anti-vaccination movement community, autism. They are susceptible to manipulation until they really believe it. This might have disastrous consequences for the environment. 
On the other hand, yes, there have been studies confirming that vaccines carry a riskof allergic reaction. Interestingly, they are so few they can not be compared to millions cases of healthy, vaccinated children. What's more, a lot of research has been falsified. Most evidence of anti-vax community is based on "real cases". People have imagination. People lie. People do not tell the truth. People sometimes are honest. That's why "science" exists. We need evidence.
Last but not least, this is a public health problem, not just an individual. Schools, taking care of
the health of students and teaching staff should not accept unvaccinated children. This can make parents to revise their beliefs and maybe will help them to realize that this is not just an opinion, and their decision can affect many people's lives.

NEVERMIND, it's OVER

Now, you know why this blog name's „nevermind”. What's interesting and important for one person for the other is completely useless. What I consider as superfluous might be crucial for someone. What I think is valid I've been sharing with you here for the last few months.  The most important thing, though, is to think critically. Effective Altruism? You got ice in your veins!

What is the help? Today, in a world full of misinformation, we have to struggle with choosing the right one. That's why we should keep up with the organizations that we trust. We know that they can use the money better than we, they are focused on efficiency, not on emotions. Instead of working intuitively they carry out research and do good.  This's what's called effective altruism. What about helping not one person but ten thousand for the same amount of money? Of course, in the utopian world everybody should be healthy, young and happy, but... this is not How the World Works. Should we be guided by emotions? That might sound inhuman but generally, no.
